Check ur connections, it might be loose. If it's not that, if u have a volt meter, see if ur voltmeter fluctuates. Is there anything that causes it? EG: hard acclerations, ur sound system too lound? Could be ur battery starting to die. Check that u have enough battery water too.

Cheers!

If you're using a H4, as ben said, it's already inside? But i don't see how. If you bought it from ben, and he didn't give u a set, then i think u should ask him for 1. If u bought ur kit from someone else and ur kit didn't come with a relay, then i guess u can make do without it. Different specifications.

ABout that flickering and stuff. You know the back of the ballast bracket how there's a bolt that goes through to hold it to the ballast box, well if that bolt touches metal surfaces will it short, could that be the prob?

Yeah that could very well be the prob! Imagine, if ur car is bumpy and ur ballast is jumping up and down, it occassionally touches the ground, and u get ur flickering. try padding it wit something, and try to secure ur ballast properly so that it dosen't shake/vibrate that much. =)

P/s: Pulp, have you found out the problem with the flickering ?

Oh sorry I was only asking in regards to the other guy who had the flickering problems ;) Thought that may have been something to look at. Man I haven't had a chance to install mine yet! Going to make up a bracket for the ballast boxes.

Oh okies... haha i'm gonna get mine installed tomorrow after my exams, problem is, i don't have a drill. :( So i've gotta go to some workshop to borrow their drill and drill the f**k out of my caps.

Dude, just head to WA salvage. I got my drill for $12.99 ages ago, and a box of about 20 drill bits for $4. They work fine on plastic, everything else and the drill bits arent that good, but for that money, cant complain

Got my hid installed, took 2 hrs, and am quite happy!! The only problem is... My lens is too dirty/oxidised!! The inside not the outside... and now my parkers really look oxidised. FUG. Back to the ol drawing board.

About the flickering that was happening the other night. I've checked all the connections and its all fine and I used cable ties to hold almost everything in place, so I don't think there's any short circuiting.. I then checked the battery water and noticed that it was very low - so I think it's that. Just topped up the water tonight

It only happened during one trip a few nights ago when the car was idle and when I was slowing down. Since then haven't come across it doing the same thing.. so hopefully it was just the water level in the battery. But will see how it goes now..

thanks everyone for trying to help :D
