Can A Bad Battery Affect The Fuel System?

Silly question time again..!

If the battery's on it's way out (In this case, loosing a cell)

Is it possible that it'd affect the fuel pump when running? (aka not running it at max output etc)

(I'll be checking the running voltages later, just an idle thought really.. )

(New Battery to be fitted tomorrow, 550 cranking rating)

highly unlikely as when the motor is running the alternator is still putting out >12V

my mate has gone through something like 3 bosch 040 and 1 walbaro due to some questionable wiring done...

Grounding or bad wiring is generally more of a cause than a bad battery. Once the car's going it rarely has to rely on the battery.

I'd be replacing the battery anyway if the cell was dead. You might end up putting extra strain on the alternator if that dead cell shorts itself...
