Thermostat For Rb20det

Hey guys...looking to replace the thermostat on my rb20det r32...are they the same as the one used on VLs running rb30s? cheers....

I am pretty sure you can but check with Repco - they have a listing for the RB25DET which is the same as the RB20DET.

Dont do it man, if its one thing ive learnt sometimes u just cant interchange parts.....did it once wont do it again. Get an RB20DET thermostat, or u could get hell troubles one being the fact that the RB30 could open up later and give a mis reading at ur temp gauge saying ur over heating wen ur not. Try get a higher flowing thermostat that opens at lower temps to keep your car cooler. But make sure its an RB20DET thermostat

All the RB are the same.

Commence open at 76.5degC

Fully open at 90degC

Just go to Nissan, and they should confirm that the RB20DET part no. is the same as the RB30 R31 Skyline.

Genuine Nissan is cheaper then aftermarket thermostats anyway i have found. So you will have to make a trip there anyway
