Rotating assemblies are likely to use similar compressors (remember there is a wide range of actual wheel specs available). Turbine on the HKS should be a 53.8mm wheel, while Garrett will be either 56 or 60mm from memory.

The nomenclature indicates that HKS have used a T28 series turbine housing, while the Garrett uses a GT30 turbine housing. When spec'd for Skyline, they both have the T3 turbine inlet flange, but the airflow characteristics/capabilities are clearly going to be very different. Then there is the issue of internal/external wastegating.

Expect then that they will have significant differences in operating characteristics.

Try doing a search on the topic - plenty of posts by Discopotato03 who is well versed in the technical aspects of these units. As always, remember to size the unit you choose to suit a particular power range and application.

cheers
