Hi.......

I need to put a baby seat in my R33 GTST, but i am finding it quite difficult to locate an anchor point.

I have been told i will have to have an anchor point engineered and installed.

Does anyone know where the anchor points are located???

Hi, They should of been installed when the car was complianced. There is 3 anchors, 1 centre and 1 in each of the speaker covers. Not sure where you would be able to buy the brackets and plates though.

i had them installed in my car when i first got it, if i can find where i put them i'd gladly give them to you coz i have no need for them.

all they are is two brackets that go across where the factory speakers were, and are fairly difficult to get out, so im assuming they'd be fairly difficult to put back in.

Lismo: I can post up pics of anchors & metal brackets if u want.

As Woolls said, 3 anchor points one in the centre of the rear shelf & two on either side coming out of the speaker grills.

If they're missing then you should at least notice a hole in the middle of the rear shelf where the anchor would've been located. Unless a custom parcel shelf has put in it's place, etc.

Hi POOMBAH,

Would you be able to post up some pics for me please or send them to: [email protected].

Thankyou so much.

Hi JAR,

I would gladly accept them if u can find them.....i will pay for all postage costs....

Thanks.

lismo, definately get the place that originally complied the car to put them in for you.

They are 100% required to be added for compliance but in my experience lots of compliers didnt bother

Hi lismo, hopefully these can be of some help to you

These are the brackets that were screwed directly onto the metal parcel shelf, the brackets fit over the rear speakers

& these are the mouting hooks for the baby seats, they were screwed onto the centre screwhole on the metal brackets shown above

A picture of my rear shelf. U can't see it in that photo, but where the 6x9 speaker covers are there should be in it's place a circular plastic speaker cover with the anchor points coming out from them, hence why the brackets fit over the speakers

Hope these pics give u an idea of what you need. I had to yank out my back seat just to take the parcel shelf cover off, but there's a tutorial in the D.I.Y section on how to remove the rear seat if you're interested.

Cheers :(
