Stagea Handbrake / Footbrake

Hope your Stag's are all well...

Query regarding the footbrake (handbrake) on my series 1 1997 Stagea....

On the RWC I received when I bought the car in Qld in July, it states that my handbrake 'pad' was only 26% there, ie is roughly 75% worn.

Now, is there an actual brake pad as such for the footbrake, if so where is this 'pad', or is it like a Falcodore and cable operated?

May be they mean your rubber pedal pad on the pedal itself is worn. as far as i know your Park brake is connect to the rear discs like most other passenger cars where as some 4x4's have a separate hand brake assembly on the end of their transfer cases.

On my vic RWC its how much adjustment the handbrake needed, ie due to cable stretch etc.

Handbrakes are just rear discs from what i knew.

There is a cable operated drum brake on each wheel inside the disk. It is a separate mechanism to the Disk brake caliper and has its own pads.

They should be exactly the same as on any R32 on Skyline.

The car is off the the workshop next Tuesday for a heap of tuning parts, so I'll get them to check it out.

yep that is correct, there is 2 rear drum brakes that the handbrake operates totally separate from the other brakes

dont know a part no. for pads sorry...

These numbers are part codes, not part numbers. Ask nissan for part numbers.

I am sure the park brake would be pretty generic to all nissans, would be stupid to make them all mega car specific.
