Sick of fees, yet want to pay some one to make phone calls and emails for you?

I dont get it.

If you must use a broker then why not use one that runs a compliance workshop? at least they do somthing useful for you.

Search his name on these Forums. You only get good feedback with him, Plus there is loads of information to go along with your search which will help you.

So do a Search of the forums :) and you will find people who were in the same situation as yourself. Even PM them and ask how they went :)

j-spec. paid them $1k, and i basically sit here and wait for the car.

handling everything. freight the car from qld to melb, tow truck to compliance work shop. too easy

j-spec are great, really good service. but don't forget that on top of the $1k fee to j-spec you are also (in most cases) paying at least 100 000yen FOB to a japanese suplier. it is quite possible to deal directly with those suppliers, but of course people like j-spec have a much wider access to cars, and more aus specific knowledge. I'd suggest if you are reall just after a cheap car then go to a jap supplier. if you are buying something a little more expensive like a 34 GTR then i would say it's worth going with someone like j-spec.

yeah well its all done now, so no going back :)

you're right , there was a 100,000 yen charge in japan , and listed on the incvoice it says they degassed the aircon over there and transport it to the dock etc....
