I've run 2 tanks through the GTR since I discovered it..

I've noticed the following difference in the cars performance changing from optimax/bp ultimate:

- no more popping! the car does not pop at all anymore. previously it was running quite rich and popping about once per gear change

- the car is a lot smoother

- the engine is more quiet

- the car pulls a lot better

I did a search on here, and must admit the user comments about this product is pretty dissapointing so far. Particularly those who have not tried it putting in their stupid opinion.

Cheers.

Ok i have run a tank....

My check engine light flashed fairlly often recording a knock level of 70 or so under boost....

Same settings on regular 98 (oltimate or optimax) and i can only just get to 20 knock level....

So i will NOT be using it again....

Unless you tune on it dont use it.... Use the fuel that your car was tuned on.

Thats funny, i noticed instantly running quite high boost (20psi) with this new fuel, that my knock has come down quite alot. I will do some more testing but on high boost with 98 fuel, i used to see knock in the 90's, so far ive seen this drop to 60. Save me taking some timing out of her.

col: i would imagine you would have to get it tuned for the stuff.. thats what everybody has been saying..

then once you do you keep having to use it, so you are stuffed again.. for that reason don't think i'll be using it for a while. That's probably what everybody else is thinking too, so nobdody will adopt it and they'll give up?

We'll see I guess :D

Yeah im sticking to 98....

I stuffed up my pfc today playing with it to tune for 100 ron....

Ended up just reseting it and putting the standard ecu back in....

I just need to go to mercury to get it tuned properly....

I have lost so much power...

Now i have my injectors i can finally bolt up the new turbo... But now i have to re consider my plenium....

Anyways back to the point... Ill stick to 98 due to lack of supply of 100ron....

    • Swapped the injectors around and the misfire followed. I went ahead and ordered the Deatschwerks 550cc injectors and am currently waiting for them to be ship and arrive. In the meantime, I've had my Nistune soldered to the ECU. Tested it, and and tried it out with the software. Everything should be prepared for when the injectors arrive.
    • Yeah they charge a little extra for mods , last year I noted no mods but I did have an exhaust fitted after that so  better to let them know cause these kinds of things can cause the policy to be void if you ever need to claim.
    • Hello, just just bought an 1999 enr34 with a stock rb25neo and I'm looking to upgrade the engine to 500whp I know some basic things but wondering if there are things I'll need to do to upgrade the stock block and all the bits and pieces to achieve this.
    • Thanks everyone for the replies and suggestions. Got the seats out (hoping I could find some existing grommets but no such luck). By tapping and measuring etc. I could figure out where I could drill through if needed. But first I borrowed an inspection camera and managed to go through factory holes in the chassis rail and could see that the captive nut was holding steady which is why it could retighten. So it was indeed a stripped section of thread, so I applied downforce by levering the bolt head with a screwdriver and went slowly back and forth until it came out. Camera helped a lot cos I could monitor that the captive nut was holding tight. Now I just have one very seized main subframe nut to tackle 😅
    • BOVs do have a purpose, if you ever log pressure before and after the throttle body, you will see a spike pre throttle on lift off from a WOT condition. Enough to bend throttle blades / damage e-throttle motors or simple assist in blowing off cooler pipes. FWIW, the above on really applies to those running at least 2 bar of boost. OP shouldn't have an issue, on the other hand, here are some videos of my shit box over a decade ago with some succulent dose with the airbox on and off. That shit box is unrecognisable these days 🫠
