The BP on Warriagal Rd near the SE Arterial was out on Sat as was the BP on Swan St in Richmond as was the BP on Church St

That's good enough enough for me to say there's a shortage.

Swan St was still out yesterday.

Interesting about optimax extreme... wonder if eth really is that bad for your car? ...

some info from shells site:

http://www.shell.com/home/Framework?siteId...ut_extreme.html

Nissan

Nissan vehicles manufactured from 1 January 2004 onwards are capable of operation on ethanol-blended fuels up to E10 (10% ethanol), providing that blending of the ethanol component to the petroleum component of the fuel has been properly made at the fuel refinery (ie there is no "splash-blending" of the fuel).

For Nissan vehicles manufactured prior to 1 January 2004, Nissan Australia does not recommend the use of E10 because of drivability concerns and/or material compatibility issues.

anyone in vic tried the extreme with good results? can pfc users benefit from this by leaning it out a certain % or upping the timing ?

Have a look at the current issue of HPI (number 60 pg 69) martin donnon dynos a 32GTR with PFC using E10 and dyno graphs show that he needed to add HEAPS more fuel to maintain the same AF ratios, but it could also support alot more timing.

The end result was slightly more power making 311rwkw.

The main point is that cars using aftermarket ecu's need to be tuned for it otherwise they get too lean and easily knock!!

i dunno.. some of the ones that didnt seem to have it.. seem to have it again..

One of the places i mentioned in a few posts above ran out a day or 2 ago.. but they had more this morning...

I've just done a post in the general area about this... see http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=95565

Once the stations run out, they won't have any Ultimate for weeks.. Or so I've been told...

Any in the inner city area? I've rung a few and they all say no, so I just went and put optimax in one of the cars (the lights been on for a while, so it was a bit urgent..).

Hey,

Mobil Syngrey 8000 is very good 98 Octane fuel i noticed the performance is bit sharper than BP Ultimate, but, it's a bit thrister when using Syngrey 8000.

Just my 2c

Well for all the $$ we spend with BP every month, I still have no reply from our account manager although she did reply to another email so I am assuming she doesnt want to initiate any kind of panic that I could pass on! Will ask her again anyway.

BP corner of Springvale and Wellington was all out on Friday afternoon of Ultimate when I filled up.

funny thing is when i was there like a week ago they were all out

They must have been out for a week then I would assume. Didnt mean it ran out when I was there was posting more as an observation so we can try and build a picture of empty stations. :D
