Toyota Aristo

Hey all,

I was cruising throught the Prestige Motorsport stock and came up with thisToyota Aristo. They run a twin turbo six, but not the wimpy 1JZ like the chaser - they get the full 2JZGTE treatment! *Insert Fast n Furious quotes about engine here*

Compliance is still about 8 months away apparently, but I think 4-Door Skyline and Stagea owners better look out - family man in a hurry has a new weapon!

The crazy part is that one on Prestige is for sale for LESS THAN $11,000!!!!

Maybe I should upgrade my R32 4-door for one. I was considering the UZZ31 Toyota Soarer and R34 Nissan Skyline Sedan as an upgrade, but I think the Aristo has joined the list!

What do people reckon?

I wouldn't take an 11k example as the 'average'.

I emailed Geoff and he said that yes, this one is particularly cheap. Typically the Aristos start at around $13k, which is still a bargain in my mind!

prestige always does that

You say that like it's a bad thing! Surely advertising cheap cars on the Prestige website should be encouraged not looked down upon :P

I got some additional information:

Twin turbo JZS147 2JZ-GTE 3lt 206KW/1680kg IL6 Engine -122kw/tonne.

Non turbo JZS147 2JZ-GE 3lt 169kW/1580kg IL6 Engine - 107kw/tonne.

4WD UZS143 1UZ-FE4ltr 191 kW/1740kg V8 Engine -109kw/tonne

Sunroof and Leather are uncommon options, and ALL were sold as automatics. The only manuals are aftermarket jobbies.

Well i don't know, they just seem to pick a couple out there which are that lower price to 'bait' people, then when people ring because of the low price, that car has been snapped up 'but wait, we have more we can get access to'.

It's a standard business practice, but you know :P

A couple landed this month for emission testing so it will be some time next year befoe approval is granted.

Just dont buy one now and sit on the dock in Japan thinking it is good to get in early.

    • Im in the process of swapping out turbos for a Hypergear ATR43SS-2. I bought a water/oil line kit from Mamba, for Garret GT30, according to Tao. All fittings fit properly, except for the water return line. It has a -AN fitting to hose barb. From what I see, I need to remove hardline and install hose barb fitting to rubber line behind the head. I located the rubber line but is there an easier way to gain access without taking valve cover or intake manifold off?
    • Hi!    I’m looking to replace my current turbo on my S1 RB25DET in order to make 600HP but maintain responsiveness. I’m looking at the HyperGear ATR43SS-3 in T3 .63 A/R or the Pulsar PSR3576 Gen2 T3 .82 A/R. I’m still learning how turbo sizes effect lag, response, and power band. I’m looking to see if anyone can share their experience with either of these turbos or can recommend another to meet my goal? These are my mods: • Running 91 octane most of the time and occasionally E85 on track days • top mount twin scroll manifold  • 44mm external wastage  • 1300CC fuel injectors  • mishimoto intercooler M-line  • 3in intercooler pipes  • g-reddy intake manifold  • link g4+  • NZWiring trigger kit  • GTR R35 coilpacks  •  built bottom and top  • 4” down-pipe and exhaust
