Chris32
Happend to mine a while ago Swapped pumps and still was stuffed Then I jacked up the front, with the engine off, and turned the wheels both ways as far as it could go about 5 times each way. This supposedly gets rid of any air in the system It didn't seem to help much, maybe a touch lighter, then a day or so later it was back to normal To this day I have no idea what caused it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95327-r32-power-steering-troubles/#findComment-1725812 Share on other sites
Bl4cK32
I replaced all ps lines, new fliud (bled the system as chris said), even fitted the tomei hicas lock black box (it stopped the light coming on the dash, but i havent fitted shims yet) and the power steering still goes heavy from time to time...its starting to piss me off big time... Josh
You don't have a leak at the rear? with the HICAS?? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/95327-r32-power-steering-troubles/#findComment-1726012 Share on other sites
blind_elk
How old is your battery? (Skylines are notorious for their sensitivity to voltages and charge rates). Check the connections onto the alternator. And maybe the plugs on the HICAS computer.
