I have to say this really doesn't bother me about the R32 GT-R. Sure it looks sparse, but when you actually drive the car you realise why its sparse: you're meant to be concentrating on driving. With the exception of the centre gauges (bad idea IMHO, too hard to see) all the vital controls and important info is at hand/in eye shot.

On a different tangent, you've given a purchase budget, but what's you're ongoing commitment like (ie. how much do you mind spending in maintainence)? Is this for a daily driver?

I've had an R34 GT-T, got bored of the power, plus it wasn't a GTR. So i go an R32 GTR (don't like R33s.)

Anyways, they still look pretty good on the outside, but yeah, the interior looks pretty crap as compared to the R34, but not too bad. Seats are great, just the dashboard is annoying (i recently saw this carbon fibre look paint stuff that can make ur dash look heaps newer!) Also agree about the 3 tachos in the middle, they are pretty hard to look at while driving, also, they can reflect some pretty nice sunlight into your eyes at times.

Power wise, GTR owns it, as expected, 34 has looks, outside and inside. It will feel a hell of a lot like your R33 GTST, actually, it is your R33 GTST with a few major upgrades.

So it depends do you want newer looks etc, or more power. At the end of the day, I might sell my GTR and get a GT-T again, then sell the GT-T and get a GTR! LoL. Flip a coin?

Yeap ive owned an R34 GTT and got bord of the power. much more reliable and easier on the eye, got respect from old people, RWD, but nothing on my R32 GTR i have now. So much more power, much more fun to drive with the 4WD and gains more respect from skyline fans a like.

It all depends on what you want out of a car, if you want a styley powerful reliable sports car get a GTT, but if you want a tough classic super car get a GTR. When i had my gtt i was happy with it, but i knew it wasnt a gtr, and i wanted a weapon, so got a gtr.

good luck man! :P

yea it will be a day driver

thats the thing i really wanted a weapon but now i am getting over cars a little there big Money Pits but onces u had a skyline u can't get something that isn't as good as it my R33 gts-t was a good car but just lacked things

Power was to low

just starting to feel the age of the car

i still found steering and Handle pretty good way better then my Old S13

I am keen on a GTR but i know its a getting to Be a really old car now and there cost a bit to fix

I might go test drive a Gt-t See how it feels if it isn't heaps better then my R33 i'll go the GTR

I really do want the AWD in the GTR

just tossing up is a mild modded Gt-t will have the power i am after i want something that is fun but not lossing trackion everywhere and something i can still do speed limits in

Do Gt-t Have cruise Control i want that for the highway cause i can never sit on a 100ks in my old r33

Reason i don't have my P's for 6 months

One thing to note is that ive seen and lately hearing of an ever increasing number of R32 GTR's that not too long after landing the motors have let go varying reasons.

They come out of Japan nice and cheap, there is a reason for that.

People think they are getting a good deal and then it lets go a big end or the turbo(s) die/blowby increases casue the rings have had it.

The 32 motor isnt the most reliable thing on the earth either in stock form and it is 12+ years old on average, for a car that you arent going to drive like a nanna, its hardly something you wanna deal with.

If you drag/track it, or mod it and stick bigger turbos on then your definately going to sh|t it sooner.

Get the 34-t. It might be slower and it wont make as much power as easily, but it wont cost you a fortune in maintainance.

If you cant afford the cost of a rebuild and a set of turbos from the get-go, then dont get the GTR IMO.

In saying that im probably opening the door for a grilling, but i see too many die and people just shattered :(

Easy, grab a 260RS Stagea wagon. Weapon of a car being GTR based, and practical as well being a wagon. Look half decent and can get it landed and on road for under 40k.

i have gtt. i love it it definately feels alot more nimble than the 33 and definately more powerful.

Why have you ruled out the 33 gtr. They are great cars easy to get heaps of power out of and still look phat. R32 are old and will need money spent on them to get them back up to a powerful daily driver condition

Id say gtt or 97/98 s2 33gtr

Well i ruled out R33 GTR too reason

I had a R33 and i'm over there look GTR looks like just like gts-t

and there a bigger car i want the fastest R32 look if i went GTR

and 2 there too much a good ones 35k + i only wanta spead under 30k

Gt-t with Front Mount Exhaust intakes and Computer and little more boost wound most likey do me most likey be better on fuel too and stuff i guess

i wish they come down in Price a bit there a little over priced atm

1998 S2 r33 is like 21000

Gt-t r34 30000

Hoping new Evos and Wrx bring imports price down a little and the new P plater law might too

You will find the 34GTT will behave similar to your 33. Its essentily the same car with a cosmetic upgrade and minor drivetrain tweaks.

To be honest you cant really compare the GTT and GTR there different horses for different courses.

i was under the impression the suspension on the 34 was quite different to the 33... 34 is shorter to i think.

NEO is something significantly different.

Styling can hardly been seen as an 'upgrade', looks markedly different

Haven't driven both but i still think the 33 and 34 (Gtst/GTT) are quite distinctly different cars

R32 GTR maintance & Repair cost are high BUT once u have driven it u get addicted to the power and drive other cars and think it slow pieces of shit

Get R32 GTR u will need to be prepared to spend money on like you said it old cars now and most of them are thrashed but i gotta say they are very well built cars worth every cent !!!

if u want a reliable car without high maintance & repair costs go ther R34 GTT

thats how i would look at it

Yeah the engine/looks are quite different, but when you actually drive the cars, they feel very much the same....you can tell you're in a newer version of the same car. If you drove both, like within 5 mins of each other, you'd know.

Peace.

Yeah I agree I have a 97 R33 and I have driven a 98 R34 and it just felt like a newer version of the same car.

You are right it is a tiny bit shorter but nothing major. Not sure about suspension but the Neo has full valve timing where as the 33 only has valve timing on the intake...someone correct me if im wrong???

hasent your r33 got mods? mayb you should just mod it to the max... i think youll enjoy the feeling of doin afew mods and going faster and faster... ooorrrr start drifting in it... same car but different style of driving...

i sold my R33 gts-t i was getting over it rwd and lack of tourqe

i think i'll go with a GTR r32 just try to find something Nice and spead about $25000 on it

Is it better to get a stock one or one with all the stuff i wood want

I want

Computer

Full Exhaust

ECB

Aftermarket Coilovers

stock air box

maybe bigger Cooler but i hear the stock one is good

All i know if i get one it will Be Silver like my Dp Pic

and it will Be Pimped on Volk GT-C 18's with Gold face and silver dish

Why only spend $25k on a GTR if you have $30k availible? Use the extra $5k and you should be able to pick up a 1992/1993/1994 GTR fairly stock in good condition.

You get what you pay for... Im not saying the $25k ones are bombs, but yould get a markedly better car for $30k (just as you would get even better at $35k). Despite some people who dont want to believe it, you get what you pay for.
