i was wondering which one is best. I found out that stock mount ARC cooler will give more power than a front mount 600...300...76 HYBRID cooler..Is it true?

How come such a small cooler provide more power than a front mount.?.

the arc cooler is much better consuction and argued as one the best on the market than the hybrid and has better flow charactoristics and as it mounts in the stock location and same lengh pipeing as opposed to the front mount which will have more piping , the main difference is that you will have slightly better throttle response with one in the same location, as there is less volume the air needs to fill before the intake.

i run a d1 drift fmic kit and i think it is quite good, and i didnt really notice and lag or less respone thought i am not running stock boost and i was running 11 psi in stock cooler and once a changed it seemed a lot less restrictive, not sure what i would be like with stock boost though.

the end of the day i feel that the fmic will cool better as opposed to a cooler on an angle and it is harder for it to pass though.

it alll depends what sor of boost and power you would like to obtain.

hope i have been helpful

i read a write up on a silvia running a rb26dett probably seen it but it was running at 26psi through one of those puppies :P

i wasn't going to upgrade my cooler to a front mount coz i got a autospoiler (r31) and the size i would fit in there wouldnt be worth it but i think ill throw one of those arc smic ones on

26psi through a standard side mount cooler? great idea.

i think the stock cooler isn't too bad i just think the location doesn't make it as efficient as the other stock based intercoolers. i think you had an r34 or arc smic core on the front it would be quite nice and wouldnt have as much volume as a 600x300 core

i think he meant the ARC one. i was looking at getting one for my 180 but was a bit out of budget... but according to the seller they can handle 27psi.
