Lost My Brakes!

Hey

I got in my car yesterday and went to go the airport and the car basically had no brakes. You have to put the pedal flat to the floor for it to even begin to start to stop. I can hear the pads etc.. closing and i can hear the master cylinder pumping. The ABS light is not on. Fluid was really low so i filled it up but that dident make a difference.

Any ideas ? The car is a R32 GTR.

you probably let air get into the lines if the fluid went low enough. Or your master cylinder is f**ked.

Re-bleed the brakes and see if that helps, if that doesn't fix it, you may need to reco your master cylinder.

I'm assuming you checked the obvious. i.e. checked lines for brake fluid leaking etc.....

One of the mechanics said he could smell it leaking (we checked it at night) but it was really low so it might have got air in the lines.

Your master is leaking and you got air in the system

A bleed will only help temporarily...get the master rebuilt

So it has nothing to do with the ABS unit then ?
