just had another look at the photos... the front end of the bmw doesnt look too damaged!!!! pretty weird!!! the mazda looks f**ked from behind, and the skyline is destroyed, but the bmw's front looks ok???

explanation is pretty simple...

the bmw is stock to reo bar and plastic front bar.. ie strong!

that 33... weak! fibreglass + no reo + front end in the ass = screwed

Prices for them vary. However from what I've heard the guy that put the carbon fibre bonnet on the car wasn't really worried about money. So it would have been to the upper end of the scale.

Just curious because i bought my R33 2 weeks ago and its got a CF bonnet and looks identical to this one

I'm just guessing but I'd say around $2k for a good one like that. But I've never bought one nor ever thought about buying one so it is just a guess.

cf bonnet like that can be had for 1k to 1.5k i think. looks like mazdas fault but interested to find out what really happend

I'm kinda astounded how you guys came to the conclusion the Mazda was at fault.

The 33 slammed into the back of the BMW and it in turn hit the Mazda.

To find out how expensive your bonnet actually is, lift it.. Feel the weight.... If its light light, then its expensive prob cause its the proper stuff

If its heavy, you know its the fibreglass underlayer
