druzilla32
ok, excuse me for sounding f**kING PISSED OFF during this post!! After many months of my motor rebuild they finally started it today.. AND IT SOUNDS LIKE A TRAIN!! I havent heard it myself but the descripting i was givin was "It sounds like a train, like there is a block of metal inside a cyclinder" Does anybody know what this noise could be????? ps. No I wont be paying a single cent for the rebuild. pps. The description of the noise was from the guys that put the motor in, not from the wankers that built it! HELP please.... I want to know which mechanic to knock out! ylwgtr2
could be anything.....your being a bit optimistic for an accurate response.... the guy that fitted the engine should be able to figure it out....there just an ordinary piston engine Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/96023-urgent-rb26-rebuild-help/#findComment-1738733 Share on other sites

Fitzpatrick Speed Works
so it runs???? You need a more specific explanation for anyone to take a real educated guess at what it could be!!! As Troy said its a simple piston engine same design as a holden six in principle it wont be anything someone with an idea shouldnt be able to diagnose in a few seconds!!! druzilla32
the noise is slowely going away... and everything is fine... im not sure what it is as im not a mechanic.. but its getting quieter now, and there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with it... wonder what the noise was? any ideas? its just a little lumpier because of the cams. i have been told to pick it up tomorrow, he just wants to make sure everything is tight again, and tripple check everything before it goes.... SKYL9
just curious as to why you would take it back to the same builders that snapped your inlet cam then made you pay for the new 1? browny
I have to wonder why you picked people to work on your car who seemingly have NFI what they are doing. I find these finger pointing type threads quite amusing, especially the ones where said accuser ends up looking like an asshat.
