No, please dont just use velcro / double sided tape, take the time to secure your box, In the event of a accident you dont want a 20 - 30 kg box flying through the cabin to add to your troubles...

Also, with any sub it will sound louder from outside or even the next room at home, try it with your own home theatre. There are reasons behind the 4th order enclosure, my sub is a 10 inch inside a box about twice the size it came in, with two chambers, it kicks hard and fast

I screwed mine down but it decided to come off from the box and the bit of wood i screwed it too whilst going round a sharp corner and smacked the inside of my boot now i have a small dent from the inside out will probably cost buckleys to get it repaired
