Sure, here's my attempt.............

Left Bunnings car park. Drove around a bit & went home. The end.

How'd I do? :) (J/K)

Erica,

No prob's with running a girl :D I would've been happy to give it a go with you on Sir Don Bradman (we were side by side for a bit on the roll) I just figured you were content with cruisin' along? Oh well next time :D

Erica, when we had that drag across Victoria square, you must have come off the clutch pretty hard 'cause the squeal was huge.

My window was down so I copped it in the ear.

I think it's great that girls are out in Skylines, cant wait to see more of the fairer sex cruising in their own cars.

Cowboyb - we left Bunnings Mile End & fanged up to Mt lofty summit, nearly taking out a pack of L plate bikers on the way.We

freezed our asses off up there for a while(nearly filled both car parks) then hooned down Greenhill Rd,& up South rd to the Southern Expressway.Didnt see much off anybody on there as I was doing a Vmax run(go the Option video dejavu).Had some wild drags along south rd though. We met up at Moana surf club

for a while then headed back following Brute(a wild cruise leader)

then down Dyson road doing the usual flybys past law abiding citizens.I nearly rolled my R34 on the big dipper - passenger needed change of undies - & then we settled down for the lap down Brighton Rd to Glenelg. We all split up here.5 of us left cruised down Military rd then up West beach rd where we ran into

cheeky near the airport. We went up into the city & proceeded to

catch every red light through the centre having 3 wide.2 deep drags all the way. Down Rundle st then hackney & started dropping numbers on the way down NERd.Got home around 1ish.

Met heaps of new faces & had a great time.Cant wait for the next one.

John,

I was back behind you @ that point (nursing an o/heated clutch) saw your brake lights flash on & the car get very twitchy! I knew exactly what your hand signal was about a moment or 2 later  :uh-huh:

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
