i need some tech help!!!

my car wont start, so we did a compression test on it came back 1-5 75 and 6th was only 65...

what should it be?????

if its bad how can it be fixed.. the quick n easy way???? or is a new motor in order???

with results like that i'd say there are a few options:

1) your guage is stuffed

2) your cam timing is extremely out

3) your valves are not seating. at all.

4) you forgot to install piston rings.

it should be up about 150 or so for most petrol engines.

lol, that motor is popped at 65-75....

something isnt gauging right i think.

thinkin about rippin it out and going 1jz-gte now

mine tested 169psi across all cylinders. Done 93,000kms, and 15,000kms of that was at 210rwkw.

mine tested 160-165's, but one at 145 is that ok? apparently 10% diff is ok. yeah mate dont rip the engine out until you at least get another guage to check it with.

did u open the throttle body (foot flat on the accelerator), whil doing the test?

i have found opening the throttle body to make no difference, but hear you should do it?!

Freeman, your next step should be to do a leakdown test on the cylinder thats low, and that will tell you if its ok. 10% leakdown is fine.

RU34ME, how are you doing the test? how many times are you cranking it over before you take the reading?

Yeah i was planning to do a leakdown before i bought it but they didn't have the equipment on hand at the time unfortunately...

Hey are your plates SLY33? Mine are SLY25L lol.

Yeah opening the throttle body shouldn't make any difference
