Stock Bov Leaking Causing Boost Spike

Hey,

I've just change my stock bov to any aftermarket one. now before changing the bov, i notive i would get major boost spike with my EBC, basicly i would set it to 0.6bar and by the time i hit 4000-5000rpm the boost would be sitting @ 0.8bar.

So anyways i change my bov, and take it out for a test drive to see if everything is working and i notice it holds boost perfect @ 0.6bar, then i change the ebc to 0.8bar and holds that strong too.

What my question is: If the stock Bov Leaks would it casue boost spike?

My car is an r33 gtst (stock turbo, exhuast, fmic, ebc, airfilter)

well from what i understnd the factory is designed to leak so thats were you may have been getting you spiking from. were as the aftermarket in not designed to leek booost
