Rb 20 Problem

Hey guys yesterday i had somethin really stange happen. When i went for a boost yesterday the car started to play up. Soon as i would put it under load it would surge anyways decided it felt like a problem with the plugs as there was nothing showing up on the knock sensor. So changed plugs when started it it was making a really loud knock like something was in the engine. So pulled out the new plugs put in old one's to see if noise was still there when started it it started ok until the coil pack on number 2 popped starting the engine to make this strange knock sound. So pulled all the plugs back out to check if anything was in the engine but found nothin can anyone give any insite as to what it may be. I have 2 ideas either a cracked piston or coil pack is gone but sounds to loud for that. Cheers guys jamie

hey guys dont panic the engine is stuffed, need a new one.

Not good. Put in an RB25DET instead of the RB20.

I wouldn't waste money on the rb20det unless you really can't afford the extra expense of the larger motor.

hey yeh im doin another rb20 as i already have all the goodies for one so i may aswell just use them.
