dsjoyce
As the topic says, I want to be able to smoke all four wheels, but my budget is currently limiting me to one of those, so no gtr for me Do i opt for the r32, and slowly but surely mod it to make respectable horsepower, or should i pick the newer (better?) r33 and save up for a year or two, and then drop a stagea motor in? Which option do you reckon provides the best bang for buck? Does the rb20det have any inherent shortcommings that can't be overcome? Is a stagea motor conversion relatively easy? Does the NA r33 still have respectable performance, or will it bore me to tears? Sorry bout all the questions! Thanks peoples! Dan.
Triskillion
r33 gts-4 turbo version... dont bother without the turbo if your on a budget get the r32gts4 but it would be worth waiting and saving for the r33
Ryosuke Takahashi
nah i can imagine the 32 would be more fun...stock for stock... n/a RB = and if u want to smoke all 4 wheels then your better off with the rb26
Big Rizza
Of the two, I would say go the R32 turbo over the R33 na. The cost of putting a turbo engine in the non turbo R33 would give less bang for you buck than putting the same money towards mods for the turbo R32. Plus you miss out on features the turbo R33 gets over the non turbo models (such as brakes, maybe LSD etc). Remember though that R33 turbos can be picked up almost as cheaply as R32 turbos if you look around, so don't rule them out completetly! I think the extra low down torque of the RB25 would be more suited to the extra weight of the 4WD system than the RB20 - save the 2 litre motor for the RWD models I reckon.
