they usually hear the V8 (it quite loud as I've got only 1 straight through muffler on a 2 1/2inch system). Then they look behind the volvo, then to the side and then in their rear vision mirror. After that they have this WTF expression. This is the point at which I rev the engine.

When they lose its like they have been diagnosed with cancer look. ;)

Poor old volvo's a little bit sick... well the auto is.

Didn't like the burnout the other night, I got as much smoke off the auto as the tyres. Now it slips a little under big throttle and if held smokes it up.

An example is how I lost (just) to an MR2 turbo (red), I don't know whether this car was actually fast (my experience is they aren't) but the auto didn't like me even though I only used 'D' and shifted at 4000rpm.

Rev i think i saw you and the beast at Marlows Balcatta yesterday. Either that or there is another V8 Volvo around that is exactly the same colour. It looked sweet, and sounded unusual for a volvo especially when you where giving it a bit of stick when you left

thats mine.

It's back there now getting some work done on it (cooling system pressure flush) and the valve body on the trans looked at.

I only gave it a little throttle, when it gets 'a bit of stick' it screams quite a supprise if it's next to you on the road and it drops back a gear.

I've just spent a whole day fixing oil, trans and fuel leaks on the 308 and turb 350. Gotta hate the dead heads who designed these things. I'm sure it will leak again in 6 months.

It's running pretty well again, poor old series VI turbo rx7 beaten by a volvo wagon :P:) :)

baby,

I hate to say it but the small block reving out to 6000rpm sounds alot better than a turbo screaming.

Turbo's just don't sound anywhere near as mean.

You might get a chance to see the wagon and see/hear what I mean.
