Stuffed Turbo, What Next?

Hey all

As some of you might know.. Im the new, proud owner of Lintons Burgandy R33 GTST. I absolutley love this car and will be keeping it for a LOOONG time.

Sadly though.. the other day while driving I noticed it wouldnt hit boost and made a screaching, siren kinda sound. Later that night it made other kinds of sounds like rattling and WOOOOing. I took it to a mate who is a mechanic and while the compressor blades look find and there is minimal shaft play, he believes the exhaust wheel is shagged. The shaft was rather tight which also didnt sound like good news.

The turbo is a T04 with a VG30 exhaust housing. Now im up for a new turbo or a rebuild. Can anyone give me some advice on a new turbo or how much it would cost to get this one back up and running again??

I get a woo woo woo noise too, but i think mine is the auto torque converter, is your car auto (i doubt it)
