hey

i was just wandering whos got this in their 'line and how effective it is...

does it make a noticable improvement to hp and acceleration and how does it compare to a full computer like the power fc or microtech?

and what can be done with it...ie fuel/air fix?

does it have the ability to control boost levels? so i can get rid of my turbosmart boost controller???

cheers

Get the manuals.

The AFC is just a piggyback air/fuel controller - more like a compensator.

The PowerFC is a full ECU replacement. Given that an FC is twice the price of an AFC yet does more than twice as much I think it's a forgone conclusion on which is more suitable in the long run.

The S-AFC certainly makes a style statement. Most people think that the AFC is a temporary step up to something bigger. For $400 it's worth it just to used it for a while and then flog it off.

Personally I think that the blue screen is just a teeny bit gay - a full complement of blue screened RSM/AFC/AVC-R is even more gay.

$400 - $600 for the S-afc for around 20-30rwkw gain on the stocker. Tripple that plus for a cheap PFC (add more dyno time) and you end up with about 5rwkw on top of the S-afc (If you are lucky)

go the pfc if you are going to go mad on a tubo upgrade later and have the cash all the same.
