Hey guys i want to change my fuel filter in my R32 and was wondering if there were tips on doing it. Also when you change them does it matter if air gets in the system? Do you have to submerge a brand new filter in petrol before you put it on?

How do you guys go about putting em on.

Cheers.

firstly be careful! it's fuel remember...

i removed the fuel pump fuse then turned the ignition on (ie: turn the engine over a few times until it dies) to relieve the fuel system pressure. then removed old pump (have a container handy to catch any excess), put new filter on and then before starting the car just turn ignition to 'on' position and let the fuel pump do its thing whirring away for 10 seconds, then started my car. i didn't soak my new filter in fuel. I am not a mechanic though.

do a search for greater detail.
