I'm trying to put my car back to stock boost (7psi) but i'm having problems... if anyone has a stock skyline setup (no boost controller) can you post pics of the wastegate and the gold solinoid that has those 2 hoses running off of it? There's 2 hoses that come off of it and i think the turbo and wastegate hook up through an "F" fitting that hook up to the solinoid... can someone post pics of it? it's on the driver's left of the engine... I pluged all the hoses back up but dont think I did it right... I'm only boosting 4 psi. I tried checking my old rb25 pics but they're all too blurry or dont have a good shot of the lines... I just need to know what hoses go where. The reason i disconnected everything in the first place is because I got a Greddy Profec B Spec II and it had it's own solinoid but now I want to run stock again.

edit: there's 5 hoses... a hose coming from the recirculation pipe, one from the wastegate actuator, one from the turbo.... the actuator and turbo one goto this little "F" fitting and then the last inlet of the F fitting goes to the solinoid and there's 2 nipples on the solinoid... i'm confused what 3 hoses goto the F fitting and what 2 hoses go to the solinoid.

Here's some pics of what I need more pictures of.... or if someone could just tell me which hose goes where that would be great help!

it does a little bit... in this pic... do u know where the hoses are coming from and going to? I see that the little hose that's attached to the intake goes into the solinoid directly... is the turbo hose on top of the "F" fitting or on bottom?

I am really confused now...

What engine is that? And what car is it in, sorry for the newbie question but I've never seen one.... I've seen the engine bays of 32-33 GTS-T and GTR's and never seen that engine before, please enlighten :>)

RB25DET N1??? Just a guess?

it's an R34 RB25DET out of a SKyline GT-T... we dont really have any Skylines here in the USA so I did the next best thing and put the engine in an 89 240sx.

    • I noticed that I could see creatures on the moon when I turned my new headlights on. I thought I should check the alignment. It's pretty rudimentary but I just grabbed some dry wall and put it against my tablet and made sure the beam was below the height on the headlights. Ie the beam is at 600mm on my car, I just made it lower than that 7.5m away.  Not the best but it'll do until I can do it properly at the local shops.
    • As @Duncan said - the bores are most likely to cop it. But anything can and does happen. Rods are cheap. Rods are good. The work to rebuild the motor will be 30x the price of rods. You won't notice it.
    • Yeah car has 110 on the clock. That said the front turbo (that exploded) doesn't seem to be the original, it has a S1 part number but the car is a series 3. Yep, in the cat is where I first found the turbine wheel pieces - a couple decent sized ones, then a whole lot of fragments.  I agree, probably makes sense to upgrade parts that are being replaced. Things like rods would be 'nice' but realistically it seems unlikely they would need replacing. I was hoping that it was a case that they generally f**k up the valves but not the bore, or vice versa. Is it generally the scour damage rather than ceramic bits getting mashed into the piston tops / valves? I tried a search but couldn't find any threads with pics from the guts of a motor that's had this happen.
    • Front seats now in, fixing a little rust then front doors sealed up again finished. had to install a fire extinguisher within arms distance of drivers seat for hill climb regulations. little bit of good old silo diff action lol IMG_9146.mov
