TO4GTR, to answer your question.........I spent over $6000 in safety gear to comply a car and driver, that due to the fact i live 3.5hrs from the track and cannot attend street meets, can hardly test for racing without spending $550 a day. So i have to turn up to championship events with an untried and untested combo. How good have the QLD'ers got it over us now.

Dave, the problem lies in WSID's double standards with their new track hire policy. Sub-11 ET cars have always been allowed to race at street meets, but they have to be accordingly ANDRA tech inspected in order to do so. using your examples, BU5TER wasn't tech inspected so was therefore not allowed to race again after he ran his (2nd) sub-11 ET. He cannot race again until he has tech inspected his car. Whereas in the case of DiRTgarage, their car has already been tech'd etc. But these new rules won't allow them to race the car at a private club (street registered) track hire day - despite being a registered street car. They can only race at the other form of private track hire day where only 8 ANDRA-teched cars are allowed @$550 each. They are however, allowed to race at any Wed night street meet.

that is an excellent point.

WHAT DOES WILLOWBANK DO thats an andra approved trak.

thats expencive. but i spose its mostly there to save our lives.
