r32 gtst vs supra TT

hey ppl

raced my mates 98 supra tt wit vvt-i, his is full stock, mine is grade 1 import. We were side by side all da way until top of 4th wen he pulled away 1/4 car length (i had a better take off ). what do u think... i reckon da fact his block is bigger ( 3.0L ) is why he got me....

now i gotta do some mods so he can c my rear end fly by him but the problem is that his is dead stock!! once he spends some money on the beast as he calls it, i'm gone....:-)

Them crazy arabs at RSG have even fitted a 300ZX with the 2JZ!!with a big single turbo and boy does she fly!!

supra's are VERY heavy cars... my mk3 TT makes approx 265ps at the rears, but with traction issues and weight issues, thats still only good for 14.6 at the plex... (thats on stock boost, winding the boost up doesnt help that much)

A well set up Supra TT should take down just about any 32 gts-t. The 2JZ when worked will make the weight irrelevant.

It would take a very well sorted, expertly driven r33/34 GTS-t/GT-t to take down a TT six speed.

With minimum mods a decent 6 spd Supra TT will absolutely womp a modded R32 gtst. The RB20 engine encounters lots of lag problems when it comes around to 200rwkw, which is what you'd need to stay with a modded 2JZ-GTE. Wind up the boost, free up the inlet & exhaust on the Supra and your talking about a 12 sec car. I'm not saying its impossible for a 32 gtst to beat one its just gotta be one hell of an R32 to do it!

The 2JZ is a much better engine, the bottom end is good for about 500hp stock, not many engines can do that. Don't worry about being beaten, unless you have limitless money someone is always going to be faster.
