Warning Level

Why is it that I still have a 'Warn Level' thing on the side of each post I make?

Would of thought that it would of disappeared by now.

I then take it only the forum member can view their own warning level, hence why I cant see one on the side of your post then?

no - admins dont have warning levels.

When viewing other peoples post in threads that do not have any status's such as 'QLD Member', 'Exec' or 'Administrator', I can not see their warning level.

If I was to make a post in any thread, I can see my warning level.

Does this mean that only I am to see my warning level and no one elses warning level?

Does this also mean that I can not see other people's warning levels and they also can not view mine?

This is just a question in terms of asking about who can really see the warning levels of other people (as I know administrators can see anythin and everything).

If this cant be clarified.... I'll setup a temp invision board on my dedicated server and test it out myself which will help answer my questions and in turn, I can answer it on here to also give everyone an idea to what the answer is to my questions.

moderators can see warnings too of anyone, only in thier respetice sections if users post there

Yeah I have the same thing but what is it for exactly?

I'm guessing it's used to keep flamers, bad poster's and so on in check or they get banned right?

So the lower I keep my % the better?

Correct

The warning system is just that, a warning system.

Users that act the fool and fail to follow the simple forum rules will normally have their warning level raised by a moderator.

If your warning gets high enough, you will cop a ban or a posting suspension.

Put simply, if you respect the forum and other users, and follow the rules, you will never have a problem

Yep I agree with that 100%. It's a great idea, one I wish my local 240 board would adopt as it's full of "kids". There is sooooooooo much flaming and imaturity that it makes my brain hurt.

Im always up for razzin someone and what not but nothing is ment seriously, it's just good clean fun. However, a lot of the guys go to far and it just gets out of controll untill a mod finally steps in to lock the thread. Flamer's never seem to get banned or even suspended.

Anyway, just wanted to say I think it's a great idea and glad to see the Admin and Mod's want to keep a good, clean board where everyone can enjoy there time here.
