Hi everyone,

:)

A little help would be greatly appreciated on this subject. My August 1997 GTS-T TYPE M seems to have had its springs changed to lower the car slightly and they look like a factory spring in appearance, but they have RS-R printed on them in what look likes the same font that the GTR logo is printed. They seem soft in the front because when i go over speed humps in carparks they bottom out in the front and hit the bump stops. Obviously this is not how the car came from the factory and the car only had 45,000kms when i bought it in Febuary this year.

Has anyone ever seen these RS-R springs around anywhere??

What are they off??

Can anyone recommend any springs that they use?

How do they feel?? Rock hard, balanced, comfortable ride etc.

I'm looking for a good street spring that is firm but not rock hard for the track.

Thanks

RS*R is an actual japanese brand relatively unknown around AUS, not too many people use em, dont think anyone can get there hands on em. For street u cant go past a decent set of coilovers - perhaps get some with damper adjustments so u can adjust the rid to how u like it.......and then stiffen it if u want some track work

Thanks mate, at least i now know that they are a decent spring and not a throw in by some backyarder. Maybe the bump stops just hit because of the lower ride height. Could be nothing, thanks again!!

hey, my series 2 is the same... i haven't looked at what the actual writting on the springs say, but they also bottom out and feel pretty soft. at the moment i am in process of getting new shocks and hoping when i put them in, the car will be a little firmer. also some ppl recommended padders springs, but since the car is at the right hight for me, i'll hold off on them just yet.

You should check out the Group Buy on Whiteline/Bilstein, plenty of guys have bought kits (and individual parts) and been extremely happy with the results and sharp prices.
