ive just had my car dyno tuned so im heading down to WSID on wednesday 14th of this month to check it all out.

ill be getting there at around 6:00-6:30 which should be enough for 5-6 runs.

ill be heading down with my brother (m3 convertible), and a few mates (wrx, prelude, 200sx, skyline)

prices are $45 if you're racing and $11 (i think) for spectators.

a few things to note:

- you must bring a helmet

- must be wearing full length pants, and a full length jumper.

- current years rego papers

- if the car's registration isnt under your name, a signed and dated letter stating that the owner knows and allows the car will be raced at WSID by you must be provided.

so post up your interest, let me know if you're going to head down.

I will be attending both meets (weather permitting, of course :P), and racing at one or both. I would suggest getting there as early as possible if you want to race as the last 3 street meets have been cancelled due to rain, so expect plenty of cars wanting to race before Christmas, not to mention the upcoming Drag Wars meet.

I may be able to make the 14th. Car should have its final tune done by then. Would be good to have some more skylines there

Tommy ,

Let me know if you are going for sure and i may make be able to come too , who knows i may give the 34 a run as well, or better still the 33 if Mick can make it .

Charlie , is your car ready to go ?

Spectator costs are $15each not $11 and for an extra $3.50 you can get a 2wk old hotdog...

I'll be there weather permitting however i'll have to workout how to get there again coz it's been rained out for a month now.

Ahh you've got front drive back charlie?  It would really suck trying to race a gtr with only rwd....right paul?

It does suck, especially when you are staged in a semi final of a championship round and you fail to realise you neglected to switch the fronts on after a burnout, launching the thing of the limiter. What are you doing asking me a question anyway...i dont like you...do you not get it??

Yes, problem rectified. Hard-hitting turbo'd RWD GTR's are not fun, trust me.

They are fun if you have a nice linear progressive power curve....tail out power sliding fun. Not if you have an on-off switch thats all or nothing.

    • It's the adhesive holding the ceramic wheel to the shaft the fails on 90% of them.
    • Foreign debris, physical shock, boost leak, could be anything honestly. The danger in taking all the timing out of a tune/hitting the R&R corner is that even if the engine doesn't detonate your turbo is taking a lot of abuse from high EGT. Also, even if nothing goes wrong it is a journal bearing that is spinning at 100k RPM on boost. Eventually it goes through enough cold start/pressure cycles to wear it out.
    • I kinda accidentally saw this, and was interested, but It actually seems to replaces the whole center computer, using the existing screen and buttons. AND it may only be for a G37 and not compatible with a Japanese 370. So its not for me, but someone else may be interested to look into it. Its about $680USD. If I am understanding it right, it basically replaces/installs and android pc that integrates with the existing screen. But I could be wrong. https://gromaudio.com/vline/ The video I first saw was the following, with very little and unclear details.     Even if your not interested in the system, the video on their site was pretty comforting in showing how simple the whole centre comes out
    • hfygrte52 what side you looking for? Do you care what color car it's off? Found a white LH side on here: https://skylinespares.com.au/product/nissan-skyline-r33-coupe-rear-tail-light/   Aussie parts place but will ship to USA. Maybe get it before there's a tarrif on 25yo shit box parts
    • I’m with Shannon’s for all 5 of our cars. Agreed values seem fair, premium price is okay. ($210 ish a month, all comprehensive).  Have claimed once with them for a not at fault claim with another car where my car had no damage. Was one call after the incident and an email after. Deemed not at fault so premium didn’t go up either.    I have called up and spoken with people who are not familiar with certain cars and didn’t agree with me on value or let their personal vehicle preferences effect the call. But called back later and got someone else who was more agreeable.
