its way too late but there is a auto electrical / alternator and starter specialist at the corner of canal rd and princess hwy tempe. they have millions of reco alternators, damn cheap.

much better than getting a second hand one that might be half dead too

rbs just use some generic mitsubishi thing so they are easy to get

Spoke to Wilchy at autosalon and he said he got it fixed at his mechanic today, was cheap too..

Thanks for your help guys.

My mechanic swapped it over with a part he had laying around, $30 all up.

The alternator's not in "new" nick, only 13.4 @ idle. But it'll do the job for now. For $30 I no complain.

I might actually check that place out Duncan, cheers for that .
