Dyno Tune & Safc

Can you dyno tune your car to run more efficiently without having to get a SAFC or power fc, or anything similar? If so, what are the advantages of getting an SAFC?

Im just totally confused coz a mate of mine said to just go get a dynotune, n stuff spending 400 on the SAFC.

dyno with out after market computer is usless unless your car is running like shit and it needs a service and a timing change of degree or setting of a boost controler cause you can thrash the car with out it going anywhere
