Yes they do.

BUT the msd needs a positive trigger. the factory igniter uses a negative one.

ie: msd needs a + voltage

the factory one uses a - one i mean it earths out,it works the same way as a old coil of a carby engine.

the only way you can make it work is with a square wave inverter circut. ie:a tacho adapter that converts a negative signal to a positive one.

but im asuming you are yiusing a aftermarket ecu. because you can change it on most of them.

also youl need to run the factory ciols in 3 parrelel pairs.

cyl 1and6 2and5 3and4. also the trigger wires to the factory igniter need to be bridged the same way. but i havent seen this done on a car. i mean im not sure if the factory ecu will like it.
