TK 34 Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 As mentioned in the topic descrition the engine light, traction control and slip light are on and the engine is missfiring and running like shit!! ( is the car running in 'limp home mode'? ) If i take it to a mechanic with a scan tool would they be able to help me? tried turning car off then on again but did not do anything? Not sure if there may be a fuse blown or something loose? help needed please!! ASAP!! captrev Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 Hi man, I have just had the same thing happen to me and you wouldn't think it possible but to both of my R34s (a 98 and 2000 model). Their not turbo so I only got the engine light. It turned out to be the coils...... No: 4 on one and No: 5 on the other. I did a self diagnostic and had error code 21 and/or 33. Replaced the bad coils and all sweet again. Hope this may help!! If you are changing them yourself clean them up and coat the inside of rubber boot with dieletric grease.
