it's costed me about 30k up till now...and that's way too much for a 15 yo car...

i dont think i'd be able to get much more than 15k for it, but let me know what you guys think, any advice is welcomed

Its only worth what someone is willing to spend on it. If early 20s kids hafe 30g to spend then its worth that.

but unfortunatly they dont. so you should get 20g for it. considerng all the goodies.

I've spent almost that much on mine too... But then I have done 65000kms on mine too.

I'll do ya a deal. You paint it bright red, I'll swap ya for a nice economical 2l cefiro :). Only condition is, I keep my wheels.

I think everyone goes thru this phase at some point of ownership of a performance vehicle. I did it twice when i owned my R33 but eventually sold in for financial reasons, only to spend more on the next car, Satria GTi. Then sold that due to $$$$ and bought a $3,500 A-B Nissan Pulsar.

Only to 6 mths later buy the Cefiro. Due to unforseen costs on the Ceffie I to have looked into selling it, but i think u just need to sit down and do your sums and see if u really are going to get ur monies worth.

I think the biggest question u need to ask yourself is...

"Am i going to stick with a cheaper, economical car, or am I just going to get another performance vehicle 6 mths later??"

I did this twice over and if i knew it i would of just kept my original R33 instead of waisting thousands of $$$$$ selling, buying, moding, etc...

My rant / 2c

Ando

i know im gonna get another performance nissan...i dont qustion it...not even for a second...after all...it's happened with my last 6 car...could have a house by now (so the parents keep telling me :) ) mostly likely get an r34 after this...might call it quits for a while after i get that...but then again...that's what i said last 6 times too :) something abt turbo nissans...it's better than drugs :D

:( something abt turbo nissans...it's better than drugs :(

Damn straight.

I went from a N/A subarooo awd to the ceffie, my first RWD car not to mention ridiculously overpowered for a novice povo like myself but I never looked back not even after the several near crash experiences in the first week of ownership (it was raining all week, drift cars and rain = fun, unless your completely new to the RWD oversteer thing then its F***ing scary :P)

Since the ceffie I have driven loads of hi powered cars, and the consensus is, high boosted nissans f***ing rock

and we are all on these forums coz we have the same problem with car related addictions :D

Bugger that!

If I were you, I would sell the parts on their own, here or on eBay, then just sell

the car for what it is. You don't really get the money for the parts if you sell them

with the car, but on their own you should do really well. :)

That's my bit, anyway...

Good luck with the sale either way.

Adrian.

i had the idea of pulling the engine out and selling as a complete rwd conversion package, with all turbos, injectors pfc, gbox etc and put in that s15 motor i got sitting in the garage...but that means more time off the road..and engineering...

f**k...i'd be happy if i get 18 for the car minus some stuff from the list...

dave...i thought about that idea..but then i dont wanna deal with smart ass little kids on the forums talking shit, you know how these c**ts are in the forsale sections...

Dude, for $7k extra Id learn to put up with some 16yo smart arseness. $7k is a nice reiable run about including fuel for a year.

    • And at over $2 per litre I'm starting to consider setting up a corn mash still and converting over to alcohol and running mine on it !  Up side of that is it all doesn't have to go into the car ! Win win !
    • H2 (for cars) will never happen. It's not reasonable for any number of reasons. It's also not reasonable for almost all of the industrial uses that the fanbois say that it will be used for, again for a large number of reasons. There are some cases where it will be good. But, even those will be massively hampered by the economics. The only way that H2 can be economic is if we somehow manage to get from where we are to the other side of the economic-valley-of-death in which no-one can operate. You need there to be sufficient renewable generated electricity to be available so that it is effectively free. Once you are there, you can do whatever the hell you want and hang the efficiency. But until you get there, the ever diminishing value of electricity makes it harder and harder to encourage businesses to build the new generation capacity, and they will simply stop investing in generation projects. (I kinda think there needs to be just government money spent on building the required capacity in a non-commercial way, similar to how the first fossil fueled grids were built, as national-government owned utilities. And probably some nuclear in there to start. But this all should have started 10-15 years ago to avoid the chasm of death that we face right now). Synth fuels will be much more likely, but will only occur is there is at least some renewable H2 production, because you need H2 to do it. And you need stacks of free (or at least extraordinarily cheap) energy because assembling molecules back into fuels is exactly the opposite process to burning the fuel, and the reason we burn fuels is because there is so much energy squeezed into each molecule. So you're somewhat subject to the same economic valley of death problem as above anyway. That is unless people are willing to pay the current equivalent of $5 or $6 per litre of petrol-ish liquid fuels. Can you imagine it? The squealing at $2 now is bad enough.
    • This is so cool. Get a dashcam that records audio and hopefully you'll catch it.  Maybe there's a brand or some kind of markings on the back ? Are the pics hand drawn? I love it so much.
    • Hahaha yep, point(s) taken. I just like seeing different things and an EV in an R32 is pretty different. I'm not on the EV band wagon, I'm waiting for synthetic fuels or hydrogen personally.
