these drag cars run over 2000-3000hp and u think they are just trying to save a few bucks buying autometer, bah yer right  :D

not saying defi r shit or a ripoff im just saying autometer aint shit

a 3000hp engine running over 10 000rpm with 7L capacity is what they get used on so they aint that bad. autometer r the most reputable brand in the world for gauges and in the racing scene.

haha Nver really seen a 2000Hp or 3000Hp JAP car with an Autometer gauge in it.

And dont really think you would see a V8 Holden with a Defi gauge!!

By the way can you find somewhere in this thread where someone said Autometre were shit???????????

i like defi gauges. and i admit it may be because i'm a wanker. but i don't really give a shit, because i like them, simple as that. having said that i have a boost gauge in the GTR. I've looked at it about twice (when setting the boost levels). never looked at it since. though i do have a peak hold function on the profec b II and i do look at that so i guess it's not really a fair comparison.

i use peak replay on my (very old) tomei boostgauge about 100x more often than looking at the guage while flat out. if i get a set of gauges at some stage i would defintaly think a replay function is a vital part the gauge must have

+ defi look nice and are top quality. defi is what i will buy if i buy ever buy any new guages

im sure you know anyway (and is probaby already posted)

Cheers Lang,

Dave

I have defi gauges.

I guess that makes me a ricer.

You know what? -I don't give a f**k what you guys think - I like them and they replace the 3 factory GTR gauges with oil temp, water temp, and a decent oil pressure gauge.

And if you have to get online and argue about a gauge... get a life.

I guess my POS little 500hp+ motor isn't good enough for accurate readings on there products then... I've only used there tacho, as to be quite honest I find all there gauges pretty damn ugly.. The tacho isn’t even accurate!! I find my self-looking at my small Tectom unit again and not the tacho which really defeated the propose of trying to keep my eyes on the road and not having to look over at my centre consol!.

Just can't go past Japanese quality ;)

Have a chat to Troy at Pro Speed Racing or Kev at Process West (www.wrxparts.com.au). I know Process West specialise in WRX stuff but Defi gauges are Defi gauges, right? His site hasn't got much listed (well bugger all, really) but it can't hurt to give him a ring, right?

Greenline or Nengun could possibly be cheaper but it's up to you if you want to price match with these guys. Just a suggestion.....

Cheers,

Ben

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
