Power Fc Problem

I have 2 months ago had PFC installed and tuned..quite happy with it but recently i discovered with the air con on there is a huge flat spot(just like rev limiter, engine cuts out) under light to moderate loads, intermittently(i.e happens 50% of the time) at around mid-range revs

i spoke to my my tuner and he has never heard of this before, and when he took it for a drive it didnt happen unfortunately..

Anyone had similiar problems after PFC install?? or may have an idea what may be causing it?? Could the PFC be faulty?

Its not the compressor locking up? Or more of an electrical simply nothing type of cut?

you could do a datalogit run when the aircon is running to see what happens when the aircon relay turns on (its logged) and then try and work out what changes, could be the voltage dropping or somehow the timing could be altered as there is more "pull" on the drivebelt from the compressor.

what does datalogging involve?? do u mean just looking at the hand control or does the PFC have some kind of diagnosis??

plug datalogit dongle into hand controller port on the powerfc and run laptop software "datalogit" and do a few datalogs, would have more info that you currently have at least

next saturday is fine. i can also save your tune to a file in case you reset your powerfc or loose the tune etc. it wont fix the problem but will give u some more info as to what might be a possible cause etc
