Just need to know if anyone has used spacers on their stageas before.

I may need to us some 5mm spacers to fit the WRX wheels i am interest in on. They come with bloody +53 offset! Crazy bastards, but yeh, anyone used any spacers, just want to know if there is heaps of rod left with 5mm of it gone...

Cheers

GOD DAMMIT!

SK... *speechless*

About legalities, I couldnt care less really. I doubt they would look for spacers first thing, all i needed them for was to correct some of the offset.

The annoying thing, my mate has a MY05 WRP10, which has the 5x144.3 skyline PCD and ive fit his wheels before so i thought they were all the right PCD

And i really liked them... :)

Spacers are illegal in vic alex .... having said that, the cops generally go more for the load rating of the tyre than size & spacers, so just make sure that is alright.

Otherwise l like those wheels, would look great l reckon in charcoal!!

Its not the cops you need to worry about, its the Insurance...... if you're ever involved in an accident it could turn out to be 'all bad & pear shaped' if you get my meaning.

But having said that, Im sure Id face the same problems with a glovebox full of piggybacks etc!

I had a bad experience with slip on spacers. I would advise against them. I used slip on spacers on my DR30 Skyline, as the Volk wheels I fitted to the car were S13 Silvia offset.

Over a period of 15000km, the spacers must have put so much stress on the studs that I ended up with 3 broken studs each side on the rear. The wheels were only held on by 1 nut and I didn't know how long it had been like this. Only found out when I went to change my rear wheels to take the car to the drags that they were damaged.

I had a bad experience with spacers too. They put out the balance very badly, I had the wheels balanced a few times and nothing got fixed, but when I got new wheels that required no spacers the problems dissapeared, so I guess the spacers were to blame!
