I just want to know from you guys if you have been seriously stuffed around with your warranty.

I purchased a warranty cover with my car when I bought it as many of us possibly have.

IM NOT ASKING FOR COMPANY NAMES OR FOR A SLANGING AGAINST THEM!

But lets just say, I would believe that my warranty in question would be one of the main players in Australia.

Ever needed my car towed, not problem but when it comes to repairs or to be repaid for repairs, the fun begins. Im not talking about the usual stuffing around here.

I've heard from mates and mates of mates some real aggravating stories.

Just want to know your experiences...

I don't want this thread closed before it is even started so please don't name names.

I havent been seriously stuffed but I bought my car from the main dealer for that vehicle and was sold with a 2 year or 160K warranty. When something did go in the form of both my remote key fobs, something I assumed would be covered under a "full" warranty, it wasnt.

I was billed $50 for each key for the privelige as apparently they had become scrambled at a petrol station (which could happen at anytime). They did knock it down to $50 for both after I made a fuss.

Problem in my case was sales guys chasing a sale, service trying to survive. I also asked for a booklet when I had this problem as to what was and wasnt covered which the service guy gave me immediately. This never eventuated from the sales guy who was in the office next door.

This was for a vehicle that I would deem a luxury marque which made me more annoyed.

Not sure if you have the equivilant of the citizens advice bureau here but that was who I have sought advice from in the UK.

When i bought my car it came with warranty. Stupid thing was that they had to service it all the time. I found this out later so i payed for 3 years warranty which gives me jack shit. Good thing is that the mechanic there knows me and everytime i have problems he fixes my car without any charge.
