Hi guys,

The clutch in my car when pressed and de-pressed makes a creaking sound. If I drive the car for 10 - 15 minutes this creak goes away. If the car is switched off and not running this creak still happenes.

It sounds like a metal on metal scraping sound? I'm assuming the linkage system that operates the clutch needs greasing, but I'm not to sure what the check for.

The creak is not coming from inside the car, only outside.

Any ideas?

The creaking noise will be from the fork that levers against the pressure plate to activate the clutch setup.. You may find that the grease in the pin through the centre has dried out. Or may be worn.. Does it have a modified clutch in it?? Causes extra pressure on this pin, causing it to wear...

Me got a heavy plate clutch in mine. 2500pound ceramic multi button type.

Car when started in the morning is fine, go for a drive to work, aprox 1/2 hr away. pull into work and i can hear the creeking noise.

is annoying hey! How can we get these things greased. Oh BTW I've hadf my clutch for about two months.
