Ok with most cars there is a lot of things you can do yourself to either tidy up where the factory called it finished, or add on or simply tweak something to get a bit more power from your ride. This is my first turbo car, my first EFI car, and my first AWD car (my last ride was an XF falcon with a 4.7 - yes 4.7L carbied straight six).

basically i am still trying to catch up with AFMs (MAF's?), BOVs and boost controllers.

A DIY section would be awesome. i know my way around 6 dirty cylinders and a carburettor(built the engine myself), but tips on what to look out for when installying a BOV, boost controller, and after market exhaust specs would be brilliant. With falcons just bolt it on and it works. if something breaks, its $15 from the wreckers to replace. not so with a stagea.

got stagea-fright...

Because most of the information in the DIY section can be applied to the stagea. But if you did write a DIY that directly related just to the stagea, then still you should put it in there.

Otherwise what is stopping R33/R32/R31/Cefiro/Laurel/etc etc etc owners for asking for a section of their own?

Well why not have a dedicated DIY section for each forum? I'm sure the cefie crew dont want to be digging thru the skyline section for something to do directly with that bodyshape, just as i'm not a fan of it. I know the search button is a great tool, but unless you type in the correct string, you get nothing.

I mean how difficult would it be to set up a stagea DIY section, with a sticky thread with the links from the main DIY section that pertain to us? The section doesn't need to be able to be posted in by everyone, but the Mod's could move applicable threads to the section for everyone to enjoy. It would take a bit of time, but the stagea community would be more knowledgable for it.

Last time I pushed for a section, it was implemented and now not used.

I dont see the point on adding yet another section which does not get used.

How many Stagea DIY guides are there?

I could see a point if suddenly there were hundreds of them in the DIY section, and even then I would push for a new Stagea section as part of that section.

Maybe a thread could be started which has a collection of links to threads or sites which has specific info for stagea's, I wouldnt have a problem stickying it :(

I personally would rather that as then everything would be in one place, one thread and would be easier to moderate :)
