Rev Limit

On my internally stock RB25DET what is the maximum i can set my rev limit to? i think i saw a couple running 8100rpm? does this sound right?

7500rpm is where i would be stopping if its internally stock

I'd be setting it a little lower if you expect to be on the limiter a lot.

i'd be leaving my rev limiter at 7k if your motor has stock internals.

i have set mine to 7250, but proably change a bit before then.

just to get that little bit more out, i think the stock rev limit is 6900?

With goodies i was @ 8000rpm. Sounded pretty nuts on the gate there too

stock limiter is around 7000-7100rpm

told by my tuner that it would be ok to move it up to 7500rpm,

thou i smash the limiter alot, so i've keep it at 7100rpm

you dont make much more power by thrashing your engine out that extra 500 - 1000rpm your just putting more pressure on your engine and ultimately wearing it out faster. If you want to thrash the shit out of it an rev it out to 8 grand get some stronger internals.

its slightly less than that, when the tacho shows 7000-7100 the powerfc shows 100-200rpm less

Absolutely, have you put it on a dyno and seen how quickly the power curve drops off with stock cams? leave it where it is
