Hey guys,

So my brother decided to take my R32 GTR for a spin last night but was too cheap to refuel it with petrol, I took the car out this morning and it was on the verge of conking out. So I pull over into some crappy servo only about 2-3 mins from my house and put in 5 bux of their premium stuff, i think it was 95 Octane. Thought it was just enough to get me to the nearest Mobil (BP are out of Ultimate in Vic atm.)

Leave the servo, give the car a little squirt, car starts hesitating, backfiring.

I drive the car for 2 mins back home. I go to the nearest Mobil (in another car) and get 20L of their 98 Octane, put it in the GTR.

Doesn't solve the problem. The car at the moment sounds like a WRX, from the exhaust side of things anyway. Sounds terrible, will have to take a further look tommorow. I'm assuming it has something to do with the fuel pump getting at the crappy stuff at the bottom of the tank, or the crappy 95 Octane petrol, or my injectors are now blocked. Hesitates/Backfires/Coughs like a mofo.

Anyone else had any fuel related issues, or could it be something else?

Appreciate any help guys.

Thanks,

Ali.

There is no way 5l of 95 octane fuel caused you a problem unless you got straight back in on a hot day and gave it plenty.

I reckon blocked fuel filter or dying fuel pump, bit possibly any other missfire reason like dirty AFMs, boost leak, dying coilpack, spark plugs etc etc

Thanks for the input guys.

Was injectors, got them sorted yesterday, car is running schmick again.

I was pretty sure that such a little bit of fuel wouldn't cause the car to stuff up, i reckon it was more to do with the left over crap at the bottom of the tank effecting them.
