mine is. easy way to tell is there'll be a grub screw which holds the bearing in place. have a look. 99% sure R32 RB20 turbos are all ball-bearing. R31 RB20 turbos are bush-bearing. i've had both.

RANT MODE ON: seems like here and nissansilvia there's always peeps who shoot their mouth off about stuff. just cos they pay a mechanic to work on their car for them doesn't mean they know anything. <_<

where is this grub screw? i'll take a photo of the relevent side and post it.

im fairly sure all rb20 turbos are the same, so if yours is stock, it would be identical.

in the middle somewhere. near the oil and water inlets/outlets. just look for a shiny bolt-head that doesn't seem to be doing anything. take a photo if you think you see it and i'll point it out

that definitely is a ballbearing cos the bush bearing ones off R31s have cooling fins on the inside of both housings, and the core is thicker than that.

all R32 turbos are ballbearing i know coz i have blown 3 of these babes, and cant be repaired, $150-250 is a good price for these. if u pay more u got riped...
