I just prchased a R32 GTS-T completely stock but have put a air intake and a boost controller to 14psi. However the boost controller is installed correctly and the boost reads 14psi when driving but didn't increase the speed or top end much at all.

I've been told the standard turbo is no good for this and a R33 GTS-T is the way to go with a FMIC? I would like to hear any other suggestions for this. PLEASE HELP

I thought R32's had alot more than this but apparently they all are like this.

Maybe for tune is out of whack? Fitting an R33 turbo will be good as the R32 turbos will come apart around the psi you are using. Fitting a front mount will increase the power but i'd be thinking that maybe your car needs a good tune.

Run some injector cleaner through it as the injectors may be abit dirty and will clog up.

Test the compression? Maybe your engine is lacking compression and therefore power

For a start you will need to get the car tuned.. so it will require some device to let you tune it.. just winding the boost up to 14psi and expecting instant power increase is not going to really work.

in my experience, fitting an rb25 turbo will give you bit more mid and top range.. on the street it may actually feel slower, and a bit more laggy at coming on boost.

14psi on a standard R32 i properly wouldn't run the boost that high turbo won't like that much. All depends on what sort of power you are hoping to get out of your car and how deep your pockets are really. I have just finshed building my up i got 210rwkw which i am quiet happy with but it cost a bit as i had to rebuilt my engine as it was shagged. And then it is a matter of bolting all the go fast bits on getting yourself a after market ECU and a good tuner (Don't take short cuts with the tuning most important thing) If you want to know my mods sent as a PM if not good luck with the hunt for power

stock boost is 10psi already so uve only added 4psi but still not worth it on that turbo cause it wont be much better and could cook the ceramic turbine

i always found with the stock turbo it would hit you in the back at about 2500rpm and pull almost the same to the redline - fun for punching at low rpm but no hang on at high rpm :)

should be sweet to run 14psi with a rb25det turbo on the 2ltr and u get some pickup from 3500 onwards :(
