Hi Phil,

It will slightly depend on trim and a couple other factor's including the head flow and exhaust manifold etc, but here are some rough estimates.

This is assuming an RB25, it will be different for other capacities.

2835 - approx 2800rpm, comes in a R trim which spools up quicker, very good for the street, produces a decent amount at the wheels, a very popular choice

3037 - the largest choice while still remaining street drivable, more laggy than the 2835, but will support and extra 100+hp worth of airflow, expect around 3800rpm on a decent setup. Great for big power, and not too laggy on the road.

Phil,

Both me and Steve(who has moved to adelaide) are doing a very similar build, with a 3037 on an RB25. If you need any info then PM us, I can get a custom exhaust manifold made quite cheap, compared to Jap brands etc, so let me know if you need anything.

Will work out which part of the couch I'm allowed to sleep on once I'm banned from the bedroom.   Same, however technology changes and these days those once amazing subs are just mediocre compared to a SVS, Velodyne and now (apparently) Tonewinner.   They're always closed, treble performance drops and I notice the speakers fall off axis quite easily. Compromise right? I ran the room calibration with the door closed etc. and you could tell the room EQ correction slapped on more mid and treble. With Yamaha's YPAO, you can't see what has been applied to the EQ with correction applied, where as the older Audessey it showed you the post correction EQ.
