I'm as sure as I can be of the day, I was a little shaken as it's honestly the first bad experience I've had being pulled over, but I pulled over soon after to remember as best I could and document the event. I would be far more specific in court, but i figured readers on here don't need to hear my detailed, obviously one sided arguments.

If there was ever a time to record a conversation, that was it.

I know that there would be very few police that would abuse their powers, intentionally anyways, but rb25 what would you do if you felt you were unfairly punished on the road? Or is there little to no tolerance for police off duty?

If it was alleged that I did something to which I know 100% I didn't do. Then I'd be fighting it. You can request to see the ICV (in car video); not immediately, but the next day or some days later back at the station. This saves you going to court. This of course only helps if the offence is caught on camera, which is not always the case.

Before I joined the cops I always thought it would be futile fighting fines in court as the judge would always believe the police. The best way to get a grasp of all of this is to go to court one day and just sit in and watch the cases. Opened my eyes a lot... it's a local court so anyone can just go in and sit there.

So how much do they pay you to trawl this forum?:whistling:

To be fair ^ ^ ^, I believe John is quite constructive.

He isn't the only copper on SAU. There are a few who are open about it.

And so long as they have a "We..." attitude, rather than a "Them Vs Us" attitude, it's good to converse with together.

BTW, this attitude ^ ^ ^ goes for us too.

Terry, i was not serious about my question. I was joking, it's called humor.

This statement just shows how little you actually know about the system.

I'd say that it was a comment made by someone who hasn't NEEDED a lawyer to represent them in court. The value of lawyers is only going to be known to people who have required legal representation.

good information in this topic i would just like to add my 2cents. i have found if you treat a cop like a persion and not a 4 letter word for male genatela. then he/she will treat you in the same lite give and take if you will. wont always be the case but hey better to be the biger man and stay calm cool and collected.

    • Sadly I can confirm if you are actually seeking to drift, you will quite easily spin up one wheel. Even if you're going in a straight line. I am not entirely sure of the metrics/terminology here but there's only a certain amount that the helical will actually spin both wheels. I've seen it on video with my own car where two lines of smoke switch over to just one after you really get in to it. Unlike with a clutch diff where you can keep your foot planted until the car regains grip, in my experience with the helical you want to be utilizing traction control allowing LIMITED slip or lifting (partially) when you start to spin up both tyres with a Nissan helical. Which makes them pretty sub optimal for drifting duty. That said... this is probably a helical on numbers alone. Just put the Kazz in
    • Let's just fix the problem by f**king the rest of the gearbox.
    • Unlikely, as per Greg's post. This is not helical diff behaviour unless one wheel is up off the ground. Shimming what? You don't "shim" a mechanical LSD. Probably not in the sense that you have heard of people "shimming" a diff. And the process that Nissan f**kwits call "shimming" a diff involves super-preloading a VLSD cartridge against the side of the diff to create a friction/wear point (in a place that it wasn't supposed to have one) to make the sloppy, useless, viscous diff into a hybrid viscous/mech abortion. In case it isn't clear, I consider the process to be stupid. Nike.
