advanced timing.... I havent seen this problem for years... Good old torana's were king for this problem....

I reckon you have a wiring fault. Cause if your dash lights and tacho keep working then its not pre-ignition. I could not be pre-ignightion.

Is there a hidden turbo timer??? Cause if their is maby its set to like 10 minutes or something stupid.

If you have not timer then someone has played with your ignightion wires. If it does have a timer then check its instalation and its setting.

I dont believe it is a turbo timer problem as the tt is switched off has been for the past month or so dont use it could it be a relay, aac sticking or something as the engine just keeps running i have to stall it to turn it off

If it actually runs like the TT is working or the ignition hasn't been switched off, then it's an electrical problem that is holding the ignition circuit open / on. Why not switch the TT on, even set for 30 seconds, and see if it will turn the engine off.

If you look at the wiring diagram, you can see that the switched ignition supply goes straight to the injectors, coil as well as the ecu power relay etc.

Something is allowing power to run through the ignition to all the above hardware.

Nothing will be sticking that will cause this.

Remove your turbotimer wiring for starters and i would be suprised if this problem does not go away.

i was wondering if you could help my car has an alarm fitted as well as not having a igntion harness so the wires have been spliced into. My belief is the timer is a switch and you would have to cut a igntion wire and then bypass through the timer and wire it back into the igntion wires on the other side. If i am correct which colour wire would you have to re wire to form the circuit again.

mate i havent been game to see how long it runs for but i would say it is indefinately it is really bugging me i am in the process of taking the tt out fully and rewiring the car to original and hope that works it could also come down to a short on the alarm as well i really have no idea

Can you please help my car wont switch off when i have turned the ignition off and pulled the keys out would someone please tell me what i could have alook at or what things need to be fixed

did you just get a new alarm?

I had this problem after my new alarm was installed, some of them come with inbuilt turbo timers and you can adjust the time or completely switch them off.

I just turned it off and use my original turbotimer
